Mr. Gregg Alan Meidl, 53, of Bartlesville, died on Sunday morning, August 19, 2018 in Bartlesville.
Services for Mr. Meidl will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Oklahoma Wesleyan University Lyon Fine Arts Center with visitation from 2 pm to 3 pm and the memorial service beginning at 3 pm with Todd Coulter, cousin, officiating. Services are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Parking will be available at the First Wesleyan Church parking lot at 1776 S.E. Silver Lake Road and shuttles will be available to the Fine Arts Center.
Mr. Meidl was born on December 5, 1964 on Holloman A.F.B in Alamogordo, New Mexico the son of Thomas Wallace Meidl and Martha Jean (Snavely) Meidl. In 1972 he moved with his family to Midwest City, Oklahoma where he graduated from Midwest City High School in 1983. He later graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma at Edmond, Oklahoma in 1989. Following his college, he lived and worked in Tulsa until coming to Bartlesville and beginning his employment with Applied Automation (now known as Siemens) and has remained in their employment until his death. He was married to Judith Melaine Wiley in Midwest City, Oklahoma on March 19, 1994 and they have made their home in Bartlesville since that time. Gregg was an avid golfer and a member of Hillcrest Country Club. He also enjoyed tinkering in his garage, the Laboratory. He has been actively involved in his sons' football and baseball activities from the beginning.
Mr. Meidl is survived by his wife, Judith M. Meidl of the home, two sons, Gabriel "Gabe" Thomas Meidl an engineering student at the University of Oklahoma in Norman and Garrett Lee Meidl a student at Connors State College in Warner, Oklahoma and a member of the baseball team, his parents, Thomas W. and Martha J. Meidl of Choctaw, Oklahoma, his sister, Stephanie A. (Meidl) Bailey and her husband David J. of Choctaw, Oklahoma, and his mother-in-law, Doris Wiley of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
