Archie Wayne Medlock

Archie Wayne Medlock
August 21, 1936 ~ February 28, 2026

Archie Wayne Medlock, known to many on the airwaves as "Wheeler Dealer," completed his final haul and went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 28, 2026. A man of the open road and a steady hand, Archie lived a life defined by grit, hard work, and a million miles of stories.

Born on August 21, 1936, Archie belonged to a generation that valued a handshake and a job well done. He spent over 40 years behind the wheel of a semi-truck, navigating the highways of this country with the skill of a true professional. As "Wheeler Dealer," he was a respected voice on the CB radio—a man with a sharp wit, a knack for the road, and a legendary collection of "Archie-isms."

Beyond the road, Archie was a man of deep principle and brotherhood, serving as a Mason for over 50 years. Whether he was signing off the radio with a crisp "10-4, good buddy," bidding family a warm "Ya’ll come," or his trademark farewell, "Toodaloo, buckaroo," his voice and personality would always bring a smile to your face.

While his career took him across state lines, his heart always led him back home. Archie is now reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife, Wilma Ruth Medlock. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Irene and Louis Medlock, and his son-in-law, Tony Hawkins.

His legacy of strength and independence lives on through his children: Rick Medlock and his wife Kim. Cindy Medlock Hawkins; and her husband Tony (deceased), Kim Medlock West and her husband John; Kristi Medlock Myers and her husband Jim.

Archie was proud of the family he built and leaves behind a lasting legacy in his grandchildren: Levi (Cheyenne) Jones, Chad Jones and partner Crystal, Adam Jones and partner Ashley, Justin (Jessica) Clemmons, Mariah West and partner Christian, Krystal (Gary) Harris, Karissa (Edgar) Magaña, Courtney (Doug) Venable, Chelsea Medlock, Christian (Amanda) Medlock, Allen (Brandy) West and LaDonna West. His life was further brightened by his multiple great-grandchildren, who will grow up hearing the legends of their great-grandfather’s days on the road.

Archie has signed off the radio for the last time, leaving behind a family that will forever miss his guidance and his "10-4" spirit. He lived a full life, kept his eyes on the horizon, and finally made it home.
Toodaloo, buckaroo.
