Ricky Medlen, 65, of Caney, Kansas, died April 8, 2021. He was born December 12, 1955 in Caney, Montgomery County, Kansas.
In his early years, he resided in Copan, Oklahoma with his parents and siblings, where he received his early education. Rick moved to Kansas for a number of years where his parents were employed, later returning to Oklahoma with his Mother after his father passed away.
Rick Enjoyed Carpentry work and fishing. He was employed by Harvard in Bartlesville for 44 years before his death.
He was preceded in death by his life partner, Dianna Lynn Wacker, who died in October 2020, his parents, Floyd and Margaret (Little) Medlen, his brothers, John and Bill Medlen, and Infant daughter, Amanda.
Rick is survived by his sons, Ricky and Thomas Medlen, his sister, Sally Bishop, brother, Bob Medlen of Dewey, half-brother, Joe Medlen Taylor of Caney, two stepchildren, Eva Fisher and husband Martin Fisher, Nic Shull and wife Sonya Shull, Several grandchildren and three great granddaughters, along with many other family members in the surrounding area.
