Virginia Medders, age 84 of Noble, and formerly of Purcell, passed away Monday, April 22, 2019, at the Norman Regional Healthplex.
Virginia Marie Redus was born February 15, 1935 in Vaughn, NM, the oldest of 5 children born to Onal “Homer” Redus and Ruby Marie (Isbell) Redus. She was raised all over New Mexico, as the family followed work wherever Homer could find it.
Virginia attended Highland University and earned her Bachelors of Fine Arts. She lived mainly in Ruidoso where she worked as a waitress and in customer service. Virginia was the proud mother of four children; son Rex and Homer and daughters, Connie and Twala. She was a gifted artist, and especially enjoyed painting, and she shared her many talents with her family and friends. Virginia was a wonderful mother and grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be dearly missed!
She was preceded in death by:
Daughter, Twala Sue Frasier;
Three granddaughters,
Her parents, Homer and Ruby Redus;
Brother, William “Bill” Redus and
Sister, Wanda Ruth Riley.
Virginia is survived by:
Her children, Rex Medders of Durant,
Homer Medders of Ruidoso and
Connie Key of Okla. City;
Brothers, Charles Redus of Noble and Jimmie Redus of Las Vegas;
7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
Celebration of Life Memorial is scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 3, 2019, at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel.
