Buddy Alan Mealor of Kingston, Oklahoma passed peacefully at his residence on November 7, 2022, at the age of 73. He was born in Altus, Oklahoma on August 31, 1949, to Albert Grady and Betty Lou (Shirley) Mealor. On October 3, 1972, Buddy married Debra Beth Harris in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Buddy retired from the Frederick Fire Department after 25 years. He volunteered for the Texoma Volunteer Fire Department in Kingston as well. He was a member of the Retired Firefighters Association. Buddy was also a carpenter. He would put his woodworking skills to use constantly remodeling when he wasn’t at the fire station. Buddy loved to hunt and fish as well as play with his metal detector. He also loved time spent playing with his grandchildren.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 50 years, Debbie Mealor of Kingston, Oklahoma, his son Brad Mealor and wife Melody of Silo, Oklahoma, his mother Betty Mealor of Wichita Falls, Texas, and sister Sheryle Dean of Wichita Falls, Texas. His legacy lives on with his granddaughter Bristol Mealor and grandson Brock Mealor of Silo, Oklahoma, and a host of nieces and nephews as well as many cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father Albert Grady Mealor, his sister Cassia Mealor, and his granddaughter Bridget Mealor.
