Bill Meadows, 89, of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully in his home January 22, 2024. He was born in Chickasha, OK in 1934, to Louis and Mirl Meadows. In 1956, he married Joyce and together they raised their three children. Bill started work at Nickles Machine Shop and later began a career at Pelton Company from where he retired. He enjoyed working on his 1968 Corvette and showing it off in car shows. He loved boating and in his younger years, he enjoyed water skiing, which he passed down to his kids and grandkids teaching them to ski and enjoy water sports too. He sure did love spending time with his family at Beaver Lake where many memories were made.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, 4 Brothers and 3 sisters. He is survived by his wife, Joyce of 68 years; his brother Jack Meadows of California; his oldest daughter Rhonda and husband Sonny Michalsky of Crosby, TX; daughter Brenda and husband Leroy Luis of Ponca City, OK and his son Chad and wife Amber Meadows of Murray, KY; Grandkids: Kristin Koenig, Briana Luis, Sunny Michalsky, Taylor Luis, Preston Ross, Rylee Luis, Madilyn Lee, Conlin Meadows, Emerson Meadows, and Andrew Meadows. Great grandkids; Brooklynn Fisher, Princeton Ross, and Liam Fails.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Trout Funeral Home and Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home and Crematory.
