Ella Fern (Potter) Meador

Ella Fern (Potter) Meador
April 23, 1943 ~ September 8, 2025

Ella Fern Meador was born to Bert and Ada Potter on April 23, 1943, at the family home near Bristow, Oklahoma. She departed this life September 8, 2025, at the age of 82 years.

Ella graduated from Bristow High School in 1961. Soon afterward, she met and married Carroll Meador and the Lord gave them 63 full and wonderful years together before Carroll was called to Eternity in January of this year.

Love and laughter filled their home as they built a life together strong in faith and centered on Christ. Ella knew and loved the Word of God, sharing daily her walk with the Lord. She was the greatest mom, wife, and Nana anyone could ask for. She was stern at times, yet patient, loving, and kind in all times. Time with family brought Ella great joy, often cooking large family meals to bring everyone together. She also loved a good vacation. Ella and Carroll often traveled with friends and family, taking in new sights and experiences around the U.S. Adventures were never in short supply when out enjoying a ride on the motorcycle, snow skiing in Colorado, boating & camping on the lake, and visiting Branson.

Ella is survived by two sons, Gene Meador & wife, DeAnne, and Jeff Meador; three sisters, Paula Montgomery, Sharon Davidson & husband, Red, and Brenda Russell; five grandchildren, Jaran Hayley & husband, Jeff, Kristen Holman & husband, Tim, Alicia Haught & husband, Casey, Nic Meador & wife, Andrea, and Olivia Meador. She was also blessed with 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, Henry, Steve, Frank and Alan; five sisters, Wanda Johnson, Donna Kay O’Neal, Violet Gower, Fonda Schlosser and Margaret Plum, and one great grandson, Barrett James Meador.

Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Faith Baptist Church in Slick, Oklahoma. A family dinner will precede the service at 12:30 p.m.
