Carroll Dean Meador

May 11, 1934 ~ January 17, 2025

 Carroll Dean Meador was born May 11, 1934 to Therby and Freda Meador in Patoka, Illinois. He departed this life January 17, 2025 at the age of 90 years.

Carroll grew up and attended school in Vandalois, Illinois. He was the 2nd born of 3 children. In 1958 Carroll enlisted in the United States Army; he served faithfully and was honorably discharged in 1962. Carroll and Ella Potter were married in1961. Home was where the heart was as they raised their family. They lived in Illinois; made their way to Oklahoma where they lived in Tulsa before making their home in Bristow. Carroll worked many years in insurance sales supporting his family, always finding the right balance of work and home. He was a family man faithful to a fault to God country and family. He loved the Lord and served him daily. He and Ella attended Faith Baptist Church when his health permitted. Carroll had a love for cars and travel. His need to be outdoors; was met with hunting, gardening and riding motorcycles.

Carroll is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ella; two sons, Gene Meador and wife DeAnne and Jeff Meador; one sister, Karen Boyd; five grandchildren, Jaran Hayley and husband Jeff, Kristen Holman and Husband Tim, Alicia Haught and husband Casey, Nic Meador and wife Andrea and Olivia Meador as well as eleven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by both parents. Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00pm, Friday, January 31, 2025 at Faith Baptist Church in Slick, Oklahoma
