Chelsea Marie (Jones) Mead was born August 9th, 1989, in Enid, Oklahoma, to Mr. and Mrs. Glenn and Terry Jones and died March 8th, 2022, after battling an extensive and painful kidney disease, diabetes, along with a host of other medical issues.
Chelsea attended Covington and Pioneer Public Schools, later earning her GED. Chelsea became an accomplished Certified Nurse's Aide (CNA) and Certified Med Aide (CMA) while working at the Commons, Greenbrier, Golden Oaks, and the Enid Senior Care Nursing Homes.
Chelsea had a daughter, Kadence Nicole, and a son, Connor Adam, whom she loved very much and raised as a single parent, establishing her home in Covington, Oklahoma.
Chelsea grew very close to her Grandmother Lillie, always shopping and running around together. She enjoyed reading and talking with her Uncle Lynn, with whom she was very close. One of Chelsea's favorite things to do was to hang out with her best friend, Kaci Presson, who was like a sister to her. Chelsea was an avid member of her Facebook Diabetes' Chat Group and for a short time was an active member of the Chevrolet Tahoe Car Show Group out of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Chelsea was preceded in death by her father, Glenn Jones; grandfather, Raymond Kaiser; and her grandmother, Lillie Kaiser. She is survived by her two children: Kadence and Connor; Mother, Terry Dillman and Stepdad, George Dillman; and her brother, Kyle Jones.
It was Chelsea's deepest desire that a cure for diabetes be found. Therefore, she chose to donate her body to science in her quest to help end this dreadful disease! A Memorial Service to honor Chelsea will be held at a later date.
