Mr. Ollie McWaters, my beloved husband of 25 years, of Ringwood, Oklahoma, passed peacefully from this life on Sunday, August 27, 2017, at home surrounded by loved ones. He was born on August 30, 1943 in Charter Oak, Missouri.
Ollie had been a resident of Oklahoma for almost fifty three years, after relocating here in 1964 from Charter Oak, Missouri, living first in Enid and then Ringwood. He spent his entire career working in the oil industry where he made many lifelong friends.
He was of the Methodist faith and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ringwood.
Ollie was preceded in death by his parents, William L. and Nora Colston McWaters of Charter Oak, Missouri; by six brothers - Claude, Bert, Don, Herman, Hershel, and W.C. along with five sisters - Audrey, Areda, Mamie, Emma Lou and Polly.
He is survived by his loving wife of the home, Sandra; by one sister, Mrs. Dimple McWaters Malloy of Morehouse, Missouri; by his daughter, Shawna McWaters-Khalousi (late Dr. Aladdin Khalousi) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; stepchildren, Crystal (Rodney) Barker of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Tyler (fiancé, DeeDee) Cryts of Paducah, Kentucky, and Monty (Christe) Cryts of Paducah, Kentucky; step-grandchildren, Weston Barker, Alexi and Natalie Cryts and many nieces, nephews and other family members who loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 1, 2017, at the First United Methodist Church of Ringwood, Oklahoma with the Rev. Rocky Repp officiating.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a gift of kindness to the First United Methodist Church of Ringwood through the funeral home.
Memorial service for Ollie is 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, 2017, at Ringwood United Methodist Church.
