Nancy Lynn (Vervack) McStay

March 22, 1955 ~ June 7, 2010

On Monday the 7th of June 2010, an incredible person departed our world. Her name was Nancy Lynn McStay.

She was born Nancy Lynn Vervack in Ft. Smith, Arkansas on March 22, 1955. Her family moved to Midwest City when she was still a child. She attended Steed Elementary, Monroney Middle School and graduated from Midwest City High School in 1973. She went on to attend The University of Oklahoma School of Nursing in 1978.

She was a long time employee of Midwest Regional Medical Center, a place she was so proud to be.

She was a wonderful wife to Charles McStay, her husband, of 33 years. Together they raised 2 wonderful children, a girl and a boy.

Nancy continued to pursue her higher education and completed a Masters of Adult Education at UCO in 1995. Most recently she was proud to graduate from the inaugural class of the first Oklahoma Baptist University Masters in Science Nursing in 2010.

Of the many, many people that will miss her she will be missed most notably by her adoring husband, Charles, the couples' two children, Mandy and Mike, a father, Paul and big brother Larry. She was loved by all her many friends in Nursing and will be missed greatly by her extended family at Midwest Regional Medical Center. We all love you 'Nurse Nancy'. The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. Numbers 7: 24-26.
