Enid Maurine McSparrin passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at her home in Tonkawa. She was 93 years old. In honor of a life well lived, a memorial ceremony for Maurine will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 10:30 am at the First United Methodist Church of Tonkawa with Pastor Rob Harris officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Tonkawa.
Casketbearers will be: Josh Williamson, Matthew Mittelstet, Adam Seals, Ryan Seals, David Diaz, Daryl Anderson, and Ryan Rush.
Maurine was born on February 25, 1925 in Enid, Oklahoma to her parents, William Sage Addington and Myrtle Marie (Tremain) Addington. She attended schools in Ponca City and Enid and graduated from Enid High School with the class of 1943. On August 2, 1947, she married Rex Lile McSparrin at the St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Enid, Oklahoma. Maurine enjoyed flower gardening, painting, sewing, quilting, and traveling all over the United States with her husband, Rex. As a member of the Methodist Church in Tonkawa, Maurine took part in the Builders SS Class, where she enjoyed traveling with the group and participating in church activities. One of her favorite church functions was helping with the annual Thrift Sale.
She has been reunited with her parents, William and Myrtle Addington.
Maurine is survived by her husband, Rex of Tonkawa, three daughters, Madelyn Mittelstet and husband, Kirk of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Marcia Seals and husband, Ralph of Granbury, Texas, and Meredith Williamson and husband, Jet of Tonkawa, seven grandchildren, Staci Diaz and husband, David, Matt Mittelstet and wife, Jennifer, Adam Seals and wife, Jennifer, Ryan Seals and wife, Jalea, Josh Williamson and wife, Kimberly, Summer Anderson and husband, Daryl, and Auburn Rush and husband, Ryan, fourteen great-grandchildren, Luke Mittelstet, Eli Mittelstet, Logan Mittelstet, Samuel Diaz, Jordyn Seals, Jaxon Seals, Levi Seals, Iris Seals, Baylor Tibbets, Grey Williamson, Selah Anderson, Sage Anderson, Shelby Rush, and Kaden Rush, sister, Gloria (Dody) Mullikin of Enid, Oklahoma, brother, Bill and wife, Lois Addington, Enid, Oklahoma, brother, Ed and wife, Sue Addington, Norman, Oklahoma, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
