Margaret "Louise" McQuaide died peacefully at her home on Saturday, October 31st at 84 years old. Margaret was dearly loved by her family. Memorial service will be at Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. Reception will follow at Whinery-Huddleston Family Center.
She was born in 1931 in Franklin, Pennsylvania. Margaret married Robert Alan McQuaide in 1952, in Germany when he was in the United States Army. Following that, they were stationed in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Okinawa, Germany, Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Margaret remained in Lawton from 1969 until her passing. Later she was re-married to Richard Hall from Lawton, OK for 17 years.
Her family and friends will always remember for her constant support and infectious laugh. She was an energetic and giving woman who loved to be with her family as much as possible. She loved to go on road trips with her daughters and loved dancing. She also thoroughly enjoyed cooking and baking. She appreciated simple treasures and simple pleasures but always loved wearing her sparkly clothes.
She is survived by her two daughters, Rita Ann Withers, of San Diego, CA and Nancy Sue McQuaide, of Lawton, OK, her sister Kathryn Struthers, her brother Clyde Mays, her two granddaughters Stephanie (Douglas) Gibson of Folsom, CA, and Elyse (Cody) Shedd, of Tustin, CA, and her two great-granddaughters Chloe & Gabrielle Gibson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George & Eva Mays and her siblings Vange Heckathorn, Charlotte Reed, and Melvin Mays.
We will dearly miss our Lulu. May peace be with her as she continues her journey
