Willifred F. McPhetridge

July 10, 1923 ~ March 20, 2004

Willfred F. McPhetridge "SCROOCH" Services: Thurs., Mar. 25, 10 a.m.

Scrooch went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 20, 2004, at the age of 80. Born on July 10, 1923, in Ashland, OK; he was an Army Veteran serving until 1945. Kern County is where he resided most of his life, and where his love of trucking had him in the business for over 50 years.

Scrooch is survived by his beloved Geneva Anderson. His wife, Mary, preceded him in 1983. He is better known as "Pop" to his three children, Wayne McPhetridge, Harold (Butch) McPhetridge, and Sherry Perkins. He leaves behind 8 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

Visitation will be held at Lane Family Funeral Home, 1303 Glenwood Street, in Delano, on Wednesday, March 24, 2004, from 2 - 7 p.m.

A Memorial Service will be held at North Kern Cemetery in Delano on Thursday, March 25, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. A Celebration of Scrooch's Life will be held immediately following at the American Legion in Delano.

Psalms 100:4-5 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving. And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.
