Billy Joe "Bill" McNeill

The memorial service for Bill J. McNeill is 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017, at Faith Lutheran Church, Enid.

Billy Joe "Bill" McNeill was born Feb. 18, 1938, in Ada, Oklahoma. His parents were A.T. McNeill and Velma Younts McNeill. He died on August 7, 2017 in Tulsa. 

Bill graduated from Ada High School in 1958. He earned both a bachelor's (1962) and a master's degree from East Central University. 

After graduating from ECU, he moved to Enid to teach math at Longfellow Junior High School for several years. 

After taking an early retirement from teaching, he began his rental business, acquiring houses, tenants, and friends.

 He was a long time member of Faith Lutheran Church in Enid.

Bill is survived by Andria,Jason, Haley, and Chase McCarthy; Lisa (Mote) Luther, Fred Mote, Nancy Mote, Drew Mote, Dale McNeill, Kent McNeill, Aaron McNeill, Amber McNeill, and great grandchildren Rustin, Devin, and Khloe.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, his loving wife Adelia "Dee" Mote Hensley McNeill, his son Dean, his stepson Mark Hensley, and his brother Tom.
