Helen Mae (Jackson) McMillian, 78, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025. Helen was born November 25, 1946, to Charles and Opal Schmelza Jackson in Collinsville, Oklahoma. She graduated from Collinsville HS in 1964.
Helen has always been a hard worker and a go getter, she always believed that God and Family should always be first. She had the biggest heart that made it easy for her to share with everyone, and her smile is warm and welcoming, and her kindness makes it easy to understand that everything will be okay. She will be missed dearly by all who she loved.
She enjoyed watching Kansas City Chiefs & OSU football and was a regular fan at her granddaughters’ & great-grandsons’ sports.
She is survived by her two children, Dana Cookson and husband Gary of Oologah, OK, and Kristin McMillian of Dewey, OK. 4 grandchildren, McKenzie Cookson of Oologah, OK, Summer Pearce of Oklahoma City, OK, Erica Pearce of Fairland, OK, Savanna Morton and husband RJ of Talala, OK. She has two great-grandsons, Tyler Morton of Claremore, OK, Cade Platner of Talala, OK, two great-granddaughters, Morgan & Collins Morton of Talala, OK.
One brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Sandra Jackson of Oologah. One sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Gary Lambert of Oologah, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Sam, Bobby, Curtis, Charles and Jim Jackson, and three sisters Betty Finnell, Fondine (Sue) Harper, Rosemary Frogge.
A Celebration of Life will be held on February 2, 2025, from 1pm-3pm at the Oologah Community Center.
