Betty Rae McLain, 67, of Blanchard, formerly of Victorville, California, died Monday, December 11, 2017, at her home. The daughter of Clarence Walter Hidlebaugh and Roberta Mae (Wells) Hidlebaugh, she was born June 25, 1950 in Indio, California.
Betty was a homemaker and was Christian in faith. She loved her family deeply and embraced being a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling with her family to the beach, Disneyland and San Diego. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Dee E. McLain; her father, Clarence Hidlebaugh; and two brothers, Larry Minor and Frank Hidlebaugh.
She is survived by her mother, Roberta Hidlebaugh; two sons, James Montgomery and Stacy Montgomery; six grandchildren, Lance Montgomery, Rhea Montgomery, Nathan Montgomery, Devon Montgomery, Amanda Montgomery, and Dylan Montgomery; three great grandchildren, Emery Montgomery, Gracie Montgomery, and Naomi Wallen; three sisters, June Price, Sheri Hidlebaugh, and Kari Burchette; several nieces and nephews; and many other loved ones and friends.
The family will hold a memorial service at 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 16, 2017, at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Blanchard.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
