Jerry Eugene McKee
October 13, 1936 ~ March 18, 2023

DOVER - The funeral for Jerry Eugene McKee, 86 will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday March 21, 2023 at Dover Christian Church officiated by Bret McKee. Arrangements are by Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home, Hennessey.

Jerry was born in Ripley on October 13, 1936 to Leslie Virgil and Abby Ellen Baker McKee and died Saturday March 18, 2023 at Mercy Hospital in Kingfisher.

He married Sherlene Jones in Tryon on December 22, 1956. Jerry was a truck driver for Western Tank Trucks for many years.

Jerry is survived by his wife Sherlene of the home; one daughter Jeanne Matthews of Dover; one son Bret McKee and wife Shelly of Saltillo, Mississippi; four grandchildren Steve Matthews and wife Kim, Timmy Matthews and wife Kira, Chephra McKee, Christopher McKee and wife Courtney; five great-grandchildren Jaden Matthews, Jaret Matthews, Mason Matthews, Declan Matthews and Owen Matthews.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers, and three sisters, his son-in-law Larry Matthews.
Memorial donations may be made in his name to Dover Christian Church Mission Fund with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
