Harlan E. McIntire Jr. passed on May 24th 2016 at his home in Bartlesville Ok.

Harlan was born on October 3rd 1948 in Bartlesville Ok to Cora Mae Jones and Harlan E. McIntire, Sr.

He married Sharon A. Smith on August 12th 1967 in Columbus Ks. They made their home in Coffeyville Ks. They later divorced and he moved back to Bartlesville Ok. She remained the love of his life and they remained good friends. From their union were 5 children. Harlan E. McIntire III of Winfield Ks, Edgar L. McIntire of Coffeyville Ks, Timothy I. McIntire of Tulsa OK, Crystal D. Walsh and her husband Kenny of Independence Ks, and Amber N. Kuehn and her husband Jason of Independence Ks.

He has 15 grandchildren (one of which is his namesake). 10 great-grandchildren.

Harlan was a hardworking man and worked several jobs. He worked at the University of Texas as a Painter, Superior Companies Inc. as a machinist, and at Jensens in Coffeyville Ks. as a machinist. Harlan loved his family and was proud of each one. He enjoyed horse shoes, pool, music, mowing, and cooking his barbeque skills will remained unbeaten. He was quick to help anyone he knew and even those he didn't know.

Harlan is preceded in death by his mother and father and one sibling that passed at birth.

Survivors include all of his children, 4 brothers Paul McIntire, Pete McIntire, John McIntire, and Lonnie McIntire. 4 sisters Margie Jackson, Peggy Gray, Marvel Smith, and Monique McIntire. and his companion and K9 friend Buddy of the home.

A Memorial Service for Harlan will be held 5:00 pm, Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the Coffeyville Sr. Citizen Building, 601 Walnut; Coffeyville, Kansas.
