Clarence Edward 'Ed' McGuinness, 56, of Midwest City, Oklahoma passed away February 27, 2009. He was born July 24, 1952 in Youngstown, Ohio to John and Olive Grace (Pyle) McGuinness. Ed grew up as an only child. He graduated from Midwest City High School and married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Darla (McCaulley) McGuinness on November 20, 1971.
Ed served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
He retired form Dayton Tire Company where he set numerous records as a tire builder. He was a member of the United Steel Workers. Following his retirement, Ed worked in the home healthcare industry. The pinnacle of a family man, he was a diligent worker and provider, organizer and disciplinarian. Ed loved his family and kept track of his grandchildren's schedules often driving them to and from school and other music or sporting events. Ed's sense of humor and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Ed was a great Christian man, serving as a deacon along with many other responsibilities including: working with the youth and various groups for many years at Del City Christian Church.
Ed was preceded in death by: his parents; and father-in-law, William A. McCaulley.
He is survived by: his wife of 37 years, Darla McGuinness; children: Casie Harp and husband Larry, Chance McGuinness and wife Nicole and Celeste Raincrow and partner Charles; grandchildren: Alyssa, Kayley, Emma, Kaitlyn, Tyler, Jaden, Gracie, Macie, Alexis and Colson; cousins Rick Grey, Ron and Barbara Barnes and families; mother-in-law, Hollie McCaulley; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Gary and Sheri Epler and Shirley and Paul Niehoff; numerous nieces and nephews and special friends including Mike Buckley.
