Robert "Bob" Ellis McGregor, born on October 8, 1938, passed away September 27, 2017.
He is preceded in death by his parents James Wilson McGregor III, and Dorothy Louise McGregor, his brother James Wilson McGregor IV, and his longtime companion, Kay Mabry of Houston, Texas.
He is survived by his brother, Dan McGregor, and his sister, Jean Cate.
Bob and Diane McGregor had three children, Nancy (William) Bell, Jennifer (Jeffrey) Bittner, and Katie (Nas) Lavaie, along with grandchildren Kyle (Teagan) Bittner, Ian Bell, and Brittney Bittner.
Bob graduated from College High School in Bartlesville, then earned his undergraduate degree in engineering physics from Oklahoma University in Norman. He was a member of the OU Marching Band and also in the OU concert band. He achieved his masters in applied science from SMU. He was a long time employee of Applied Automation for Phillips Petroleum.
Bob sang in the choir for The First United Methodist Church of Bartlesville. He liked to sing and play the guitar. He coached and played soccer. He loved the outdoors and fishing. He loved to act and played the role of Sitting Bull in "Annie Get Your Gun" with Theatre Bartlesville. He was a generous, loving, and caring individual. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A memorial service will be held October 13th, 2017 at 2:00pm at the First Church of Bartlesvillle, 4715 Price Road, Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
