Graveside services will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2006, at 11:00 a.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Park, for Bill Jack McGhee, 76, who went to be with the Lord February 14, 2006, in Bakersfield.
Visitation will be held Monday, February 20, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Mortuary. The services will be officiated by Pastor Duane Meadors of the New Life in Christ Church.
He was born in Durant, Oklahoma.
He served in the Army and was a Korean War Veteran. He spent most of his life living in Bakersfield where he worked for Kern Rock as a truck driver for 45 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Liddie McGhee and brother, Dale McGhee.
Bill is survived by his wife, Gaye Dean Kinder McGhee; sons, Mike and Larry McGhee; grandchildren, Eric Michael, Regina and Ashley McGhee; daughter, Vickki Robinson; sons, Jackie and Terry Tabbytosavit; grandchildren, Dani Jo and Stevie Robinson and Bobby Larson, who was just like a son to Bill; brothers, Murry and Buck McGhee.
Bill was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends who loved him dearly.
