Leonard "Charles" McGee

July 19, 1951 ~ June 25, 2018

Memorial service for Leonard "Charles" McGee, 66 of Ardmore, will be Friday, July 6, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ellis McGee, Jr. officiating. Viewing will be Thursday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

Charles was born on July 19, 1951 in Springer, Oklahoma to Bettye McGee and CL Gaines and died on June 25, 2018 in Oklahoma City.

At the age of one, the family moved to Enid. Charles attended Carver Elementary, Jackson, Emerson and graduated from Enid High School in 1971. He worked at NORCE as a caregiver and later at Presbyterian Church and Greenbrier Nursing Home.

Charles was a member of the Chickasaw Nation. He married Linda Cherdle. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Bettye, grandfather, Ellis McGee, Sr.

Charles is survived by his two brothers, Lawrence McGee and Floyd Weddington, both of Enid, uncle Rev. Ellis McGee, Jr and wife, Jaunzetta of Kansas City, MO; host of cousins and many friends.
