Johnny Farrell McGee
May 31, 1933 - July 6, 2017

Johnny Farrell McGee, age 84, of Goldsby, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the V.A. Hospital in OKC. He was born May 31, 1933 in Goldsby, OK. Johnny was the 7th child of 10 children born to Horace Houston McGee and Nellie Jane (Morris) McGee. Johnny grew up a country boy living in the Goldsby community. During his early years he attended the Goldsby country school, before attending high school in Washington, graduating with the class of 1951. In 1955 he enlisted into the U. S. Army and proudly served his country for two years. After being honorably discharged he returned to Goldsby and lived on the old family homestead.

He later married Virginia Spaulding and together they had two children, Ronnie and Diana. In 1985, some years later he remarried, and married Maria Ave Templonuevo. Together they remained living in Goldsby and she helped in the raising of his children. For over 30 years Johnny worked as a postal clerk for the U. S. Postal Service in Norman. He was an expert on stamps, for years he sold stamps at the post office and was a member of the Philatelic Club in Norman. Johnny had two jobs during the summer months. He worked at the post office, and also operated a Truck Farm from home. He was a fantastic farmer and gardener, and loved being outdoors and working with his hands. After retiring from the post office he worked fulltime raising and selling, fruits and vegetables during the summer months. Johnny was a member of the Goldsby First Baptist Church. He and Maria enjoyed playing dominoes with a group every Tuesday night. He will be remembered as a loving husband and father. He was a special grandpa to his grandchildren and a special brother to his siblings. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by: Parents, Horace and Nellie McGee; Two sisters, Vonnie Stuber and Vada Hulsey; Three brothers, Russell, Doyle and Delbert McGee;

He is survived by: Wife, Maria "Abbey" McGee of the home in Goldsby; Son, Ronnie McGee and wife Mary of Goldsby, Daughter, Diana Cavenah of Sapulpa, Brother, Roland McGee of Norman, Three sisters, Lorene Chitwood of Goldsby, LouAnn Stokes and Melvin of Norman, Linda Sitton of Goldsby; Three grandchildren, Crystal Kilmer and husband John of Goldsby, William McGee and Chelsey of Goldsby, Josh Cavenah of Sapulpa; Three great grandchildren, Kaile Kilmer, Brylee Kilmer and Alli McGee. Also many nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at the First Baptist Church, Goldsby, OK. Arrangements by Wilson-Little Funeral Home, Purcell, OK.
