Melissa was born June 19th, 1962, to David and Roberta Smart and left this earth August 4th, 2019.
Missy loved summer days, cookouts, OU football and campfires, but above all she loved her family and friends. Melissa had a brilliant sense of humor and could make anyone laugh at any given moment, bringing many smiles to many faces.
In 1979 she married Charles Watkins and later gave birth to her son, David Watkins, and daughter, Amanda Watkins. She was a cook for many years and loved doing so. In 1999, she remarried to Kenneth McFarland, whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Sue Ann Smart; father, David Lee Smart; and son, Ronnie Robinson.
Melissa is survived by her mother, Roberta Smart; sisters, Linda, Laurie and Mary Smart; son, David Watkins; daughter, Amanda Watkins; son, Tommy Robinson (and many others who called her mom); grandchildren, SirVante Clark, Mia Dunlap, Jabez Watkins, Noah Ramirez, Jonah and Isabella Watkins and Paris Robinson; Spouse, Kenneth McFarland (and extended family).
Melissa would be the first to help anyone and, after passing, left the greatest gift of all, donations to LifeShare. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to GoFundMe, http://gf.me/u/ukpr6s.
