Carol Sue McDonough, aged 80, passed away on June 27, 2025, in Durant, Oklahoma. She was born on November 27, 1944, in Tolono, Illinois, to Charles A. Allen and Mary Allen (McCafferty).
Carol attended and graduated from Unity High School. She later attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Carol worked in the food service industry and waitressed at many places such as Pizza Hut, Ken’s, and Watsonburger. She attended Calvary Baptist Church. Carol enjoyed meeting friends at McDonalds and visiting with friends at Walmart. She was a proud mother and talked about her children often.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Charles A. Allen and Mary Francis Allen, and a granddaughter, Anna Beighley.
She is survived by her son, William “Bill” McDonough and spouse Karen of Calera, Oklahoma, one daughter, Kelly Beighley and spouse Rory of Bemidji, Minnesota, 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and numerous friends that were more like family to her.
The family will have a visitation on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Brown’s Funeral Service chapel.
The family asks in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to The American Cancer society and the Alzheimer’s Association.
