Myrna Loy (Neely) McDonald

January 21, 1938 ~ February 22, 2017

No services are scheduled for Mrs. Myrna Loy (Neely) McDonald, 79, of Tishomingo, Oklahoma.  She passed away on February 22, 2017 at the Blue River Health Care facility. At her request, cremation was chosen by her husband.

Myrna was born on January 21, 1938 to Charlie Neely and Helen (Brashier) Neely.  She graduated from Tishomingo High School in 1956 and afterward married Thurman "Butch" McDonald that same year.  In high school, Myrna was an excellent student and outstanding basketball player.  She served as Johnston County Treasurer, (a position her father also held), retiring after many years of service.

She is survived by her husband Butch; their daughter, Debra Lee of Calera, Oklahoma; her sister, Eugenia Wood and husband Larry of Tishomingo; a grandson, Gary Day, Jr. also of Calera; a granddaughter, Hannah Jackson and husband Zack, of Tishomingo and three great-grandchildren.
