Lula Maxine (Price) McDonald
August 23, 1926 ~ September 06, 2014

Lula Maxine McDonald, born to Richard Clifford and Emma Eldora (Allen) Price, was born August 23, 1926 in Copperopolis, CA. She passed from this life on September 6, 2014 at the age of 88. 

Maxine attended grade school in Seneca, New Mexico and Sharon, OK. She graduated from Sharon High School and received a degree in Business from Draughns School in Wichita, TX. 

Maxine fell in love at the young age of 21 and married John Eldridge McDonald on January 9, 1948. They made their home in Sharon, OK and enjoyed 55 wonderful years together. Their marriage was blessed with three daughters, Connie, Sue and Carolyn, and one son Gary. John passed on April 15, 2003. Maxine remained in Sharon until 2013 when she moved to Pittsburg, KS.

Maxine worked in bookkeeping for G.O. Williams Oil Company. She loved playing pitch, reading and watching sports. She was baptized and was a member of the South Persimmon Baptist Church. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard Price and Emma Tower and husband John McDonald. She is survived by daughter’s, Connie Faurot and husband Dick of Tulsa, OK, Sue Williams and husband Rick of Pittsburg, KS, and Carolyn Sullivan and RD Smith of Oklahoma City, OK; son Gary McDonald and wife Debbie of Yukon, OK, brothers, Clyde and Bill; sister Mary Evelyn; 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.

At the moment of passing, Maxine was surrounded by her children and several grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the Harry Hynes Hospice and Comfort Care Staff for there support during this time.
