John Cash McDonald was born October 29, 1928 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Carryee Irene and Thomas Cash McDonald. He passed away December 28, 2016 in Shreveport, Louisiana at the age of 88 years, 1 month and 29 days.
He was married to Bardell Doughty at Elk City, OK and they resided in Laurel, Mississippi for 30 years.
John enjoyed a lengthy career with Shell Oil Company. He and family moved across the States frequently and kept friends in every location.
He is survived by his son, Bart McDonald and wife, Lesa, of Shreveport, LA; his grandchildren, Margaret McDonald and Benjamin McDonald both of Shreveport, LA; Forrest McDonald, Austin, TX; Mark Desmond, Wheaton, MD; a sister, Donne Loftiss of Dill City, OK; a brother, Jim McDonald of San Antonio, TX and a host of other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials are made to the Lynn Cash McDonald scholarship fund c/o Northside Church of Christ, 19818 Hwy 281, San Antonio, TX 78258.
