Bennington, OK- Edward Charles McDonald was born Friday, April 9, 1965 in Tucson, Arizona to Jimmy Lee McDonald and Josephine Louisa McDonald (Duarte). He passed from this life on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 in Coalgate, Oklahoma at the age of 58.
Edward grew up and attended K-10th grade at Marana, Arizona and came to Bennington in 1981 from Rillito, Arizona, where he would graduate high school. Edward worked as a concrete finisher in construction most of his life. Edward’s hobby was fighting roosters and chickens. He enjoyed spending time with family and raising chickens.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Robert Duarte and Terence Lee McDonald; and cousin/brother Joe Espinoza.
He is survived by his brother Richard Duarte of Rillito, Arizona; brother Jimmy D. McDonald and his wife Cilla of Tucson, Arizona; brother Joe McDonald of Tucson, Arizona; sister Valerie J. Garza and her husband Jerry of Durant, Oklahoma; sister Veronica McDonald of Durant, Oklahoma; brother Martin McDonald of Tucson, Arizona; brother Alfred McDonald and his wife Tammy of Woodward, Oklahoma; sisters-in-law Diane McDonald and Kelly McDonald both of Tucson, Arizona.
No services are planned at this time but the family will have a memorial gathering in the near future.
