Service honoring Calvin Wayne McDonald, 71, of Pond Creek, Okla., will be held at a later date.
He was born Nov. 23, 1941, to Joseph and Ruby McDonald in Princeton, Mo., and passed away Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, in Pond Creek.
He grew up and attended school near Princeton, before serving in the U.S. Army.
Upon his discharge he moved to Iowa, where he worked in farming.
He married Janet in 1969. He worked at the coop until 1987, and then as a truck driver. He worked seasonally until medically unable.
He is survived by his wife, Janet of the home; sons, Steven and wife Pat of Pond Creek. and Eric of Jefferson, Okla.; brothers, Jack of Humphreys, Mo., and Jerry of Liscomb, Iowa; sister, Bonnie Christ of Braymer, Mo.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, two sisters and three brothers.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Circle of Love or the ASPCA.
