The funeral for Elaine Burright McDanel, 72, will be 11 a.m. Nov. 12, 2005, at Central Christian Church, Enid, OK. The Revs. John McLemore and Don Johnson will officiate. Arrangements are by Henninger-Allen Funeral Home.
She was born June 24, 1933, in Alva, OK. to Frank E. and Grace Hammerstead Burright and died Wednesday, October 26, 2005, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center.
She attended rural Englewood grade school and graduated from Helena, OK. High School.
She received a secretarial degree from Enid Business College, where she was a member of Phi Beta Gamma sorority.
She worked for W.B. Johnston Grain Co. for 14 years and Phillips University for eight years.
She married O. Rex McDanel, Sept. 3, 1977, in Enid. She was named Woman of the Year by American Business Women's Association in 1971.
She was a member of Central Christian Church and served as volunteer with Hospice Circle of Love.
Surviving are one stepson, Mike McDanel; two brothers, Lloyd Burright of Albuquerque, N.M., and Frank Max Burright of Plano, TX.; three sisters, Betty Templeman of Medford, OR., Patricia Hintergardt of Bluejacket, OK. and Delores Collins of Sulphur, OK.; three stepgrandsons; and two step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex, and two brothers, Bob & Dick.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Hospice Circle of Love or American Cancer Society.
