Ronald K. McCurley, Sr., of Pauls Valley was born August 23, 1938 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Ballard McCurley and Ethel Velma Crawford. Ronald was raised in and around Pauls Valley and is a graduate of Pauls Valley High School.
Ron furthered his education by attending classes to earn his Associates Degree in Drafting. Later he began working for Brown and Root where he had earned the position as Millwright Superintendant.
Ronald was married to Mary Lou (Smith) McCurley and they lived in Texas for about 30 years during his time with Brown and Root. He retired following many years with the company.
He and Mary returned to make Pauls Valley their home.
He passed away September 30, 2011 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 73 years.
Surviving family include his wife, Mary L. McCurley, of the home; 2 sons, Ronald Keith McCurley, Jr. of Pauls Valley; and Bryan Amos of Coffeyville, Kansas; 1 sister, Judy Lyons of Ohio; 2 grandchildren, April McCurley and Jamie Amos.
Memorial Services were scheduled for Monday, October 3, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Stufflebean-Coffey Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Family. Services for cremation and professional services are under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
