Morris "Butch" McCool, 71, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed from this life Friday, May 11, 2018 in Shawnee.
He was born July 30, 1946 to Morris and Leola (Crandall) McCool in Skiatook, Oklahoma.
Butch was raised in Oklahoma City and graduated from Southeast High School. After high school he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged.
Butch began his family in Oklahoma City and lived in McLoud for several years. He later married Barbara Ann Sons on November 23, 1998 in Branson, Missouri and has lived in Tecumseh since 1998.
Butch was an Industrial Electrical Tech for Conoco Chemicals, later known as Condeavista Chemical Company until his retirement in 1999.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a licensed instructor for Hunter Safety Courses and a Certified NRA member of the Oklahoma Parks and Wildlife. Butch enjoyed camping, the outdoors and going to the casinos. His family was the focal point of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris and Leola McCool.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Barbara McCool of the home; 2 daughters and 2 sons-in-law, Christina and David McDuffee of Harrah, OK and Angela and R.W. Spellman of McLoud, OK; 2 sons and 2 daughters-in-law, Mike and Missy McCool of McLoud, OK and Danny and Brenda Bird of Tecumseh, OK; 5 grandchildren, Wacey McDuffee, Bryson McCool Spellman, Brent Spellman, Jodi McCool and Amanda Riley and husband Matt; 4 great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Neely, Katy Riley, Breanna Riley and Jacob Riley; sister, Patricia Toy of Moore, OK; and many loving extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, May 14, 2018 and continue through service time. Family gathering to greet friends and family will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, May 14, 2018 at Cooper Funeral Home.
Service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tony Peak of Tecumseh First Baptist Church officiating
