Lewis Edward McConnell was born on July 30, 1938 in Cherokee, OK to Louis Dailey and Audrey Estelle (Bright) McConnell. Lewis passed away on February 26, 2021 in Sherman, TX at the age of 82.
Lewis proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War until his Honorable Discharge. He attended Victory Life Church and he enjoyed car racing, hunting and fishing.
Lewis was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter Laura A. Young and siblings Elmer McConnell, Marquita Young and Jerry McConnell.
Lewis is survived by his daughters Sherry Box, Jennifer Ann McConnell, Melissa Li McConnell-Diotte and Jana Thompson; son Michael McConnell; grandchildren Amber C. Price, Christopher G. Price, Karis Young, Jennifer Diotte, Kyle Ginn, Brianna Mitchell, Aaron M. McConnell and Garrett L. McConnell; great grandchildren Brenan, Garet, Kenan, Alissa, Patrick and Oliver Mitchell; great great grandchildren Jayden, Isabella, Denae and Leilani and many other family and friends.
