Joseph Eugene McClure
October 21, 1953 ~ September 20, 2024

Joseph Eugene McClure, a longtime Tupelo resident, was born on October 21, 1953, to Benjamin Eugene and Mary Jane (Wilson) McClure, at Coalgate, Oklahoma. Eugene passed away on September 20, 2024, at his home in Tupelo at the age of 70 years, 10 months and 30 days. He graduated from Coalgate High School in 1972.

Eugene was a carpenter for many years. He was of the Methodist faith. Eugene was a member of the Choctaw Tribe and the Choctaw Senior Center. He liked watching S.W.A.T, Xena and Arrow. Eugene enjoyed listening to music and going fishing.

Daughters: Melanie Thunderbull and husband Keith of Tupelo, OK

Rachael McClure of Ada, OK

Amanda Soto and husband Jorge of Tupelo, OK

Ashley Knight and husband Cody of Stratford, OK

Grandsons: Jordan and Jacob Thunderbull, Izaiah and Joziah Soto and Joseph Knight

Granddaughters: Jailey Thunderbull, Aaliyah Soto, Kyrie Brown and Anna Knight

Great Granddaughter: Celeste Thunderbull

Sisters: Dee Dee McClure of Ada, OK

Zoanna Stockwell of Coalgate, OK

Lisa Taylor and husband John of Boonesville, AR

Brother: Rueben McClure of Eufaula, OK

Aunt: Paula Carney of Coalgate, OK Along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins

PRECEDED IN DEATH BY

Parents: Benjamin Eugene and Mary Jane (Wilson) McClure

Siblings: Debbie McClure, Marie Kernell, Ferlin McClure and Gena Willis

Grandmothers: Lula “Mamajean” Miller and Vina Carpenter

Grandfather: George McClure

Family will have a Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 1:00 PM at the Choctaw Community Center in Coalgate. Lunch to follow.
