She was raised in the Ardmore area and attended school in Healdton, graduating with the Bulldog Class of 1970. Immediately after graduating high school, she decided she wanted to further her education. Donna worked for various mental health agencies before stepping into the role of Executive Director at McClain-Garvin County Youth & Family Services. She was passionate about her work and truly dedicated her life to helping others.
In 1980, Donna was introduced to a young man named, Charlie McClung. The two fell in love and were married on June 3, 1995 at Leonard Park in Gainesville, TX. Donna and Charlie enjoyed cheering for OU football and OU women’s softball teams. Their favorite hobby was fishing for Crappie in their pontoon boat usually at Lake R.C. Longmire east of Paul’s Valley, OK. They caught thousands of Crappie and hosted many a fish fry where they generously shared with co-workers, family and friends.
Donna was also an avid reader and loved Netflix. She was very intelligent and intuitive. Donna had a superpower…She listened to and respected others, and she had a way of making people feel loved and valued. She truly was one of a kind.
