Donnie "Don" McCabe, 80, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2025, at Heritage Villa Nursing Home.
Born on August 16, 1944, in White Oaks, Oklahoma, Don was the son of the late John Paul McCabe and Ester Rame. He received his education in Big Cabin Schools.
Don's career began with a tree service company in Vinita, Oklahoma, which later brought him to Bartlesville, where he joined National Zinc Corp. He dedicated many years to National Zinc Corp until his retirement.
He married Flora Mann on February 12, 1965, in Vinita. They later divorced on March 22, 2018.
Don proudly served his country in the National Guard. In his leisure time, he enjoyed trips to the casino, dog pulling, and BMX racing. He also cherished spending time with his family, especially raising his grandchildren.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ester McCabe; his brothers, Eddie, Teddy, Charles, Frank, Freddy, Jack and Jerry; and his sister, Nadine Galvin.
He is survived by his children, son Robert McCabe and wife Marlene of Bartlesville; son Doug McCabe and wife Cissie of Bartlesville; and son Donnie McCabe and wife Jessica of Bartlesville. He is also survived by his siblings, Lahoma Elsey of Vinita, Oklahoma; David McCabe of Bartlesville; and Tony McCabe of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Additionally, he is survived by 12 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, along with many other loved ones.
