Walter Roy McBride

January 21, 1945 ~ April 27, 2006

Memorial service for Walter Roy McBride, age 61 of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2006, in the Bible Baptist Church. Rev. Kim Hayes will officiate.

Walter Roy McBride was born the son of Jacob Walter McBride and Helen Anderson McBride on January 21, 1945, in Chickasha. He died on Thursday, April 27, 2006, in Oklahoma City.

Walter accepted Christ at a young age and was active in church. He was an accomplished pianist and loved gospel music, especially southern gospel quartet. Walter frequently accompanied various groups.

He was successful in many fields. Walter taught school, worked at the Chickasha Fire Department, managed Clyde's Restaurant, was a general contractor, a floral designer, and a gifted artist.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Charlotte May Tozer, and two nephews, Michael Adam McCool and Justin Clint Turner.

Survivors include: sister & husband: Carolyn & Marvin Sikes of Springfield, Missouri; sister: Jaquetta Lou Turner of Cyril; many nieces & nephews, many dear friends.

Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.

There will be no viewing at the funeral home or at the funeral service.
