Durant, OK- Marsha McBride was born Friday, October 4th, 1957 at Pryor, Oklahoma to the late Leroy James and Donna (Gaither) Boston. She passed from this life on Sunday, November 17th, 2024 at her home at the age of 67.
Marsha is a graduate of Blue High School at Blue, Oklahoma. Marsha married Gary McBride on October 16th, 1981 at Roberta, Oklahoma. She was employed at the sewing factory in Durant for many years before working for Donny Simmons. Marsha worked for Donny beginning in 1994 managing the Jiffy Mart and then the Push’em Station in Mead. She would retire working after several years at the storage buildings.
Marsha enjoyed making all kinds of crafts and wreaths. She and Gary went on many hunts to find and collect arrowheads. Marsha enjoyed many hours playing Yahtzee with her family but most of all she loved spending time with her grandkids.
Marsha was preceded in death by her son, Bradley Harrell; step-dad, Claybron Boston; and 2 brothers, Randy and Tony Boston.
She is survived by her husband, Gary of Durant; sons, Robert Shawn Harrell of Durant, and Jeremy McBride and wife, Amanda of Durant; her mother, Donna Boston of Durant; grandkids, Denver and Logan McBride of Durant; and her brother, Rick Boston and wife, Cari of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Services to celebrate Marsha’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 23rd, at Brown’s Funeral Home chapel. Donny Simmons will be the speaker.
