Diana L. (Davis) McAllister, 63, of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018 in Shawnee.
She was born July 27, 1954 in Peoria, Illinois and was raised by her step-father and mother, Loyd Davis, Sr. and Nellie (Piper) Davis.
Diana was raised in Shawnee and was a graduate of Shawnee High School. Following graduation she lived in Oklahoma, Texas and Arkansas before returning back to Tecumseh and Shawnee where she has lived for the past several years.
She married Curtis McAllister in 1997 and he preceded her in death in 2006.
Diana was a member of General Assembly Church of the First Born. She worked as nurse's assistant, drove an ice cream truck and along with her husband Curtis, drove as a team for Overland Trucking Company. She also worked as bus driver for Gordon Cooper Vo-Tech and McLoud Public Schools. Diana has a passion for reading and enjoyed knitting, crocheting and bingo. She was known by her family to be quite the character.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, James Loyd Copeland; husband, Curtis McAllister; sister, Barbara Hazelwood; brothers, Richard Davis and Thomas Simmons; nephew, Carl Hazelwood, Jr.; and grandson, Samuel Watson.
Survivors include her daughter, Contessa (Copeland) Watson of Forks, WA; step-daughter, Amber Brantley of Texas; and 2 step-sons, Darrell McAllister and Rodney McAllister; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; 2 brothers, Loyd Davis, Jr. of Shawnee, OK and John Davis of Shawnee, OK; 3 sisters, Dorothy (Hasbell) Sandstrom of Pink, OK, Linda and Richard Butler of Okemah, OK and Della DeMoss and Evelyn Filler of Roddickton-Bide Arm, Newfoundland, Canada; and other extended family and friends.
As per Diana's wishes no formal services will be held.
Cremation arrangements by Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
There will be no viewing.
