Berit Calvin Warren McAbee was born on January 29, 2015 to Anne and Chase McAbee. What a blessing he has and always will be. Bear went with Jesus to heaven on March 28, 2015. His days on this earth were short but Bear made his prints on our hearts forever and from conception he made his presence known. His Momma would say, "Baby B doesn't like this or that" and she would adapt as a mother does to her precious child's needs. Baby B, when he was still in his mom's womb, would love when his Daddy would put his hand on his Mommy's tummy and talk to him. Bear would move to where ever Daddy would put his hand. Bear knew his Daddy's voice even in the womb.
Bear is named Berit because his Mommy wanted him to be protected in this world. Berit is a Hebrew name and it means "protection and covenant of the Lord." Calvin is Chases grandpa's name whom Chase loved dearly. Warren is after Stan who Anne chose to marry her momma and be her daddy. And Bear held the name of McAbee well.
Bear may have not ever worn his green cowboy boots, that were given to him from his Mommy and Daddy at his gender reveal party, but boy was he ever a tough cowboy. At two weeks Bear was holding his head up proud, looking around at this big world. He always had the personality of, "Here I am!" When Bear came into this world, it took a fight and he was strong! So was his Mommy and Daddy. Took 36 hours for him to show up but I'm sure he was taking his time like his mommy. Daddy feels like he waits on his Mommy a lot. So it was no surprise that Daddy had to wait on Bear. Daddy was so proud of Bear's arrival and Bear was his Mommy and Daddy's sunshine. Whatever Bear did, he did it whole heartedly. If he was happy, it shown all over his face, like a ray of sunshine. He was happy a lot. And when he wasn’t, he let Mommy and Daddy know.
Bear has been to all his parents favorite places. Church at Grandview. To eat at all the favorites: Simon's Catch, Prairie Fire, Portebellos, Country Dove and J&P Café. He has been shopping with his Mommy. Golfing with his Daddy at the Elk City Golf Course. The Oklahoma wind did not bother him at all. True Okie! He experienced a lot of loving moments. He was baptized before he went to heaven with Jesus. Bear loved Jesus! Bear had learned to roll over all by himself the day he went to heaven. He is a very strong and courageous Bear. We will love him forever.
Thank you for liking and commenting on all of Bear's selfie's. He was highly friended on Facebook and the photographers do know him well. His Mommy and Daddy taught him well. If you love Jesus, Bear will see you in Heaven.
He is preceded in death by his great great grandparents, Aubrey Dromgoole, Clarence Sanders, Taney Mae Sanders, Althea Sanders and Keith Coltharp, great aunts, Deyon Little and Clara Patten, 2 wonderful uncles, Jerry Gillum and Michael Sanders and 2 special cousins, Ben Little and Tony Bratcher.
