Sherman Patrick Mayher, 58, of Cyril, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017. He was born on September 27, 1958, in Blytheville, Arkansas, to Jack and Gustava (Prince) Mayher.
Arrangements are under the direction of Whitt Funeral Home.
Sherman attended schools in Blytheville and attended Mississippi County Community College majoring in Accounting. He married Mary Margaret Sutton on February 2, 1996. He was a shop foreman in a steel manufacturing facility. Sherman enjoyed garage sales and treasure hunting. He loved his family greatly and he loved his dogs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Gustava Mayher; and his son, Dustyn Lynn Mayher.
Sherman is survived by his wife, Mary; his children, Angela Star Freeman and spouse Tosha, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, Jade Lafferty, Buck Lafferty, and April Pay, all of Fletcher; thirteen grandchildren, Madison Mayher, Mariah Turner, Drayton Turner, Isaiah Turner, Jakolby Freeman, Navaiah Findley, Angela Sanders and spouce Jordan, Katie Lafferty, Emelia Lafferty, Haylee Santose, Michelle Santose, Courtney Pay, and Taylor Pay; four great-grandchildren, Raegan Turner, Ryder Turner, Camdyn Turner, Caynon Turner; two brothers, Glenn Mayher and Walter Reece Mayher; and three sisters, Jaquine Jackie Mayher, Dorcia Mae Lucius, and Juanita Cummings.
