Phillip L. Maxwell, 62, of Amarillo died Sunday, June 23, 2002.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Hunsaker-Wooten Funeral Chapel in Fairfax, Okla., with Anna Holloway, associate minister of Channing Unitarian Church of Edmond, Okla., officiating. Local arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St.
Mr. Maxwell was born in Webb City, Okla. He moved to Amarillo in 1953. He served in the Army from 1961 to 1967. He was an aircraft tool designer and worked as a truck driver.
Survivors include three brothers, James D. Maxwell and Eddie Maxwell, both of Amarillo, and Tom Maxwell of Freeport, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Annabelle Crouch of Wichita, Kan.; two nieces, Jean Maxwell of Fort Worth and Joni Maxwell of Amarillo; and three uncles, Charles F. Cole of Ponca City, Okla., John Maxwell of Iowa City, Iowa, and Howard Maxwell of Colorado Springs, Colo.
The family suggests memorials be to Common Cause.
