James Robert "Bob" Maxwell

July 8, 1939 ~ April 21, 2007

A Memorial service for James Robert "Bob" Maxwell, 67, of Okmulgee, will be 2 PM Friday at McLendon – Winters Funeral Home Chapel, Okmulgee. The Rev. Craig Gibson will officiate.

He was born July 8, 1939, in Alva to James Albert and Ida Mae Stathem Maxwell and died Saturday, April 21, 2007, in Okmulgee.

He was an Army veteran, a hunter safety instructor, a member of Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge, Disabled American Veterans, National Rifle Association and AMVETS in Enid, which he started.

Surviving are his companion, Tracy Putnam; three sons, Matt Maxwell of Okmulgee, John Wilson of Ada and Tim Wilson of Tulsa; and two daughters, Rose Daughterer of Alva and Amadawn Haley of Enid; one sister, Rita of Phoenix; and 11 grandchildren.
