Memorial services for Glenda Ann Parker Venosdel Maxwell will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 11, 2016, at the Marshall Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend William S. Kalfas officiating. Glenda was cremated at her request.
Glenda Ann, daughter of the late Glen Samuel and Edith Ann (Aldridge) Parker, was born September 8, 1939, at Hereford, Texas, and passed away August 7, 2016, at Enid, Oklahoma, at the age of 76 years, 10 months and 29 days.
Glenda graduated from Alva High School in 1957. On June 1, 1957, she was united in marriage to Harry Venosdel at Alva, Oklahoma. She was united in marriage to Donald Maxwell on December 12, 1989, at Ponca City. Glenda loved sports, especially water sports, painting, bowling, crocheting, gardening and dancing. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant children, Julia Ann and Glen Edward.
Glenda is survived by her husband, Don Maxwell (of Enid); children, Michael Venosdel (of Woodward), Lee Venosdel (of Oklahoma), Brian Venosdel and wife Janet (of Alva), and Angela Nelson and husband Timothy (of Alva); one brother, Sam Parker (of Alva); her special kids in North Dakota, Evelyn (Keller) Buechler (of Hague), Charles Keller Jr. (of Towner), and Alan Keller (of Strasburg); three stepsons, Steve Maxwell and wife Sarah (of Hutchinson, Kansas), Scott Maxwell and wife Leslie (of Oklahoma City), and Jeffrey Maxwell and wife Christin (of Oklahoma City); eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Woods County Senior Citizen's Center.
