A visitation for Evelyn Louise Mauldin, 91, formerly of Marietta, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, September 29 in the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Marietta.
Born February 10, 1925 in Buford, Georgia, the daughter of Henry O’Dell and Toy Estelle Owens Edwards, she died Monday, September 26, 2016 at the Pecan Tree Nursing Center, Gainesville, Texas.
In 1961, she married Arvil D. Mauldin in Ardmore. Mrs. Mauldin was a homemaker who loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In her spare time, she loved to work in her garden and sew. Over the years, Mrs. Mauldin made numerous quilts for her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arvil in 1987; two sons, Roger Dutton and James Dutton; and two brothers, James Edwards and Ernest Edwards.
Survivors include three sons, Willard Dutton of Cummings, Georgia, Paul Dutton of Lone Grove, and Mark Mauldin of Durant; a daughter, Katherine Mauldin of Gainesville, Texas; a brother, Roy Edwards of Hoschton, Georgia; a sister, Katherine Knox of Duluth, Georgia; 3 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
