Leonard Charles Mathis

October 4, 1962 ~ March 18, 1999

Leonard Charles Mathis passed away unexpectedly in his Winters residence on March 18, 1999, at the age of 36. He was born in Woodland on October 4, 1962 to Charles and Nancy Mathis.

Mr. Mathis was a lifelong resident of Yolo County. He was disabled for most of the past 12 years.

He is survived by his brothers, Joe and Jim Mathis both of Shawnee, Oklahoma, and Charles Mathis of West Sacramento; sister Maria McCune of Shawnee, Oklahoma; mother, Nancy Fischer, of Shawnee, Oklahoma; grandmother, Emma Polmanteer of Winters; niece, Crystal McCune, and nephew, Anthony McCune, both of Shawnee, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Mathis.

A memorial service was held Wednesday, March 24, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Winters. Graveside services were held Tuesday morning.

McNary's Chapel assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
