A family gathering for Arthur Maruri will be planned at a later date with friends.

Arthur Andrew Maruri was born on Oct. 1, 1928, in Valparaiso, Chile and passed away Sunday evening, Feb. 22, 2015, at his home in Norman at the age of 86.
He was the older of two sons born to Arturo Maruri and Luisa (Diaz) Maruri . Arthur grew up in and attended school in Chile.
He moved to Chicago in 1958 to work and go to Northwestern University. On July 3, 1958, he married Cecilia Raquel Quiroga, the love of his life, also from Chile. They raised 2 sons together.
He graduated with a B.S. in accounting from Northwestern and they lived and worked in various states in the U.S. including Illinois, Colorado and Arizona. For a number of years he lived and worked back in his home country of Chile. After retirement , he and Cecilia enjoyed living in Florida. They moved to Norman in 2006 to be close to their sons. While living in Norman, he was a member of the Norman First Baptist Church. His main hobby throughout life was playing tennis. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Preceding him in death are his parents and an infant son, Marcelo Maruri.
Survivors include his wife, Cecilia of their home in Norman; two sons; four grandchildren and many friends.
