Rodolfo Martinez, Jr., 54 of Hollis, OK passed away February 10, 2013.
Rodolfo (Rudy) was born December 4, 1958 in San Antonio, TX to Rodolfo and Mary Lou. He attended school in Gould and Hollis, OK and received his GED from Altus, OK. He was married to Kathryn Page on July 5 and they spent 21 years together. They resided in Oklahoma City, Ok where he worked for Southwest Electric Company for 10 years. He recently moved back home to Hollis, where he was employed by Harmon County District 3 as a heavy equipment operator. Rudy worked hard all of his life. He loved long walks, riding bikes, fishing, listening to Spanish music, especially the “oldies” and watching movies.
He was survived by his children, Rudy Martinez, III of Liberal, KS, Bill Joel (BJ) Martinez of Garden City, KS, Ivory Martinez and wife Trisha of Dodge City, KS, Cory Martinez of Lubbock, TX, Aaron Martinez of San Diego, CA and Julian (Boondy) Martinez of Lubbock, TX, Tilda Daniel and husband Charles of Edmond, OK and Paige Martinez of Hollis, OK. Grandchildren, Carlos, Jennell and Kiyona Martinez of Liberal, KS, Sylyin Martinez of Dodge City, KS, Amiah Martinez of Lubbock, TX, Khylen Martinez of San Diego, CA and Jack Daniel of Edmond, OK. His parents Mary Lou Ramirez and husband, Gilbert, of Great Bend, KS and Rodolfo Martinez and wife, Rosa, of Amarillo, TX. His brothers, Steve Martinez and wife, Dora, of Hollis, OK, Toni Martinez and wife, Traci of Larnard, KS, David Martinez of Fort Smith, AR, Ruby Perez and husband, Adam of Lakin, KS, Salvador Martinez of Plainview, TX, Augie Martinez and wife, Cherry of Spokane, WA, Javier Martinez and wife, Carla, of Hollis, OK, Larry Martinez and wife Maria of Oklahoma City, OK, Noel Martinez of Great Bend, KS, Oscar Martinez of Amarillo, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Page and his grandparents, Salvador and Isabel Martinez and Frank and Lottie Ramirez of San Antonio, TX.
Funeral Services will be 9:30 a.m. Friday, February 15, 2013 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hollis, OK. Services are under the direction of Harmon County Funeral Home of Hollis, OK.
